GRAVEN is a first-person action-adventure RPG that places players in the role of a wrongly convicted priest. The narrative begins with the protagonist exiled to a swamp and granted a staff and book by a stranger, setting them on a path to combat encroaching eldritch perversions and uncover deception. The game blends modern development with a late 90s aesthetic, featuring character designs by Chuck Jones and voice acting by Stephan Weyte.

Gameplay involves solving puzzles, exploring lore, and battling over twenty enemy types and three bosses across multiple biomes. Players utilize armaments, magic, and environmental interactions—such as spreading fire, charging machinery, revealing hidden paths, and freezing rivers—to overcome challenges. New weapons can be discovered and upgraded at blacksmiths and alchemists, allowing for character customization. The game supports cooperative play for up to eight players.
