Wreckfest 2

Wreckfest 2 marks the direct sequel in the full-contact racing series, developed by Bugbear, the studio behind both Wreckfest and FlatOut. This destruction racing title emphasizes vehicle destruction, challenging players to engage in head-to-head battles and tear apart rival vehicles. An enhanced physics engine underpins the core gameplay loop, simulating intricate component damage and delivering high crash fidelity as players race on circuits or dominate in demolition derby events.

The game launches with singleplayer and multiplayer racing and derby modes, supporting up to 24 players or bots. Initial tracks include Scrapyard, Speedway, Sandpit, and a sandbox test track with ramps and loopings. Courses feature intersections, oncoming traffic, obstacles, and jumps, while various car types, from '60s muscle to '90s bangers, are available for customization. Basic paint customization is present, with a "Crap-it™" customization tool planned to allow for new armor and component types. Technical improvements include DLSS and FSR support, controller rumble, engine stalls, and enhanced car handling, damage, and collision physics.
