Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is a side-scrolling action RPG, a full remake of the 1990s title "Monster World IV." Players control Asha, a warrior aided by her companion Pepelogoo, to solve puzzles and combat enemies across diverse environments like mountains, volcanoes, and ice worlds. The gameplay is fast-paced and challenging, with systems for upgrading Asha's attack and defense through items and equipment.

The development team includes original staff from the former Westone Bit Entertainment, led by series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa, aiming to preserve the spirit of the original games. New visuals and sound adjustments have been implemented for the remake.
