Wargroove 2 is a turn-based strategy game that continues the franchise established by the original Wargroove. Players command armies, engage in strategic combat, and utilize unique Commander abilities called "Grooves." The game expands upon its predecessor with three interwoven campaign arcs, 12+ Commanders across four factions, and five new unit types. It also introduces a roguelike Conquest mode and enhanced in-game editors for creating and sharing custom maps, campaigns, and cutscenes.

The title supports local and online multiplayer for up to four players, offering competitive and co-op modes. Additional game modes include Arcade and Puzzle, the latter challenging players to win in a single turn. The free "Double Trouble" DLC adds a co-op campaign, three new Outlaw Commanders, two new unit types (Thieves and Riflemen), and further editor enhancements.
