Wailing Heights is a musical adventure game where players control Frances Finklestein, a former rock band manager trapped in a supernatural town. The core gameplay loop involves talking to eccentric monster residents, collecting song lyrics, and using a "possession wheel" mechanic to inhabit various supernatural beings. Each possessed creature grants unique abilities, allowing Frances to progress through the story, which involves reuniting an undead rock band.
The game's script is written by Kevin Beimers, known for his work on "Hector: Badge of Carnage" and "Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark."
