Vaporum: Lockdown is a grid-based, first-person dungeon crawler RPG set in an original steampunk world. It is a prequel to the award-winning Vaporum, developed by Fatbot Games. The game places players in the role of scientist Ellie Teller, who must survive and escape the tower of Arx Vaporum after disastrous events. Gameplay centers on real-time combat with a unique "Stop Time Mode," exploration, puzzle-solving, and character customization through a gadget-based RPG system.

Players will face enemies with distinct patterns, requiring strategic use of various weapons, armor, gadgets, and upgrades. The game incorporates level-wide objectives and puzzles that test player intellect and reflexes. The narrative unfolds through voiced dialogue, phonodiaries, and written notes, revealing secrets about the world and its inhabitants.
