Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree is a roguelite action game developed by Brownies Inc. Players assume the role of Towa, a priestess tasked with leading guardians to protect the sacred tree. The core gameplay loop involves forging relationships with villagers and crafting powerful swords to combat the forces of Magatsu. Duo combat is a central mechanic, allowing players to fight alongside one of eight companions, each possessing unique abilities and weapon combinations that alter combat styles.

The game unfolds in a mystic realm where players explore diverse lands and confront enemies across different timelines. As the village evolves, developing bonds with residents unlocks new stories and customs. Progression is tied to village development, with mechanics like training at the dojo, summoning Graces, and sword crafting at the smithy providing player upgrades.
