Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES functions as a major expansion to Total War: PHARAOH, deepening the turn-based strategy and real-time tactical combat experience. Wage total war across an ancient world spanning from the Aegean to Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt, challenging the Bronze Age Collapse. The campaign map nearly doubles in size, adding 168 new settlements, historical landmarks, and victory objectives. Lead four new playable major factions—Babylon, the Assyrians of Hanigalbat, Mycenae, and Troy—alongside 25 additional minor factions, each contributing new cultures and units. New Sea Travel Lanes enable faster fleet movement, facilitating raids and invasions across the expanded territory.

A new Dynasty system allows players to establish a family tree, navigating mortality, succession, strategic marriages, assassinations, and old age to build a lasting legacy. Over 150 new and reworked units, including cavalry, camel riders, and faction-specific units such as the Guards of Troy, expand battlefield options. Battle mechanics include a Lethality modifier, making charges and missile volleys more decisive. This expansion deepens the strategic sandbox, offering new ways to conquer the Bronze Age.
