The Last Archwing is a fast-paced, vertically scrolling space shooter from Archwing Entertainment. Players control Chet Brickhouse, the last surviving pilot of Earth's defense fleet, piloting the Archwing fighter against the alien Zarkhan Empire. The game features fully voiced dialogue sequences that flesh out its characters and world.Up to four players can engage in cooperative play, either locally or online. Players collect upgrade credits and power-up capsules from destroyed enemies. Credits are used between levels to enhance ship weapons, shields, and abilities. Capsules charge a special meter, enabling a Barrel Roll for evasion and temporary invincibility, or a screen-clearing Super Death Wave when fully charged. A hardcore mode offers a single-life challenge with leaderboard competition.
