The Forever Winter is a tactical shooter developed by Fun Dog Studios, placing players in a grim, post-ecological collapse world. The game centers on squad-based looting and survival, where players must utilize wits, stealth, and gunplay to navigate a conflict between two military superpowers. Enemies include gargantuan war machines and intelligent, reactive adversaries operating under a Dynamic Encounter system, ensuring the battlefield is constantly evolving.Players operate independently, scavenging and fighting for survival while avoiding the attention of the warring factions. The more disruptive a player becomes to the superpowers' objectives, the more likely they are to be targeted.
