The Council

The Council is a narrative adventure RPG from Big Bad Wolf, structured as a 5-episode episodic game. Players assume the role of Louis de Richet, invited to a mysterious island in 1793 populated by historical figures like Napoleon Bonaparte and George Washington. The game centers on uncovering truths and manipulating characters through its unique Social Influence system, where player choices and skill development carry permanent consequences.The Social Influence system requires players to exploit character vulnerabilities and immunities during confrontations, utilizing developed skills and limited resources. Failing encounters does not result in game over but leads to lasting physical or mental traits affecting the remainder of the adventure. With 15 distinct skills to invest in, players can approach investigations and conversations through diplomacy, occultism, or detective work, shaping the fate of Louis de Richet and potentially history itself.
