Takara Cards

Takara Cards is a roguelike deck-builder RPG developed by Post Mortem Pixels. Players create a Cadet and pilot one of four unique ships, belonging to unlockable races like Dwarves, Humans, Orks, and Elves. The game centers on building a deck of over 140 Maneuver and Equipment cards and strategically deploying 40 collectible units. Combat is turn-based and puzzle-like, with mechanics allowing for powerful combos and turn-ending synergies.The game features an esoteric Karma system, influenced by player choices in events, which alters character traits and narrative outcomes. These events, some with voice acting, are inspired by tabletop RPGs. The visual style is characterized by hand-painted artwork reminiscent of 80's anime. Players can also customize their starting reputation, impacting gameplay and interactions.
