Sons of Valhalla

Sons of Valhalla is a roguelike strategy game with base-building elements, set in the Viking Age. Players command Thorald Olavson, leading his warband across England in pursuit of a Jarl who wronged him. The gameplay combines personal side-scrolling combat with tactical troop command, resource management, and strategic base building.The game features branching paths and dynamic map points that can be revisited, allowing for strategic planning and adaptation to a pursuing storm mechanic. Players recruit and upgrade a variety of Viking warriors, each with unique strengths, and can issue direct orders for formations and abilities during battles. Permanent progression is achieved by unlocking runestones through sacrifices to Odin, which grant access to new warriors and equipment for subsequent runs after death.
