Sid Meier’s Civilization® VI, the sixth mainline entry in the 4X turn-based strategy series from Firaxis Games, challenges players to guide a civilization from ancient times to the future. Cities physically expand across the map, with districts, wonders, and improvements built on individual hexes. Players actively research technology and culture to unlock new potential, while competing leaders pursue their own agendas as they race towards one of five distinct victory conditions.

Progress through history accelerates by using units to explore, develop the environment, and discover new cultures. Research extends beyond science into a Civics tree, unlocking new governments and cultural policies. Diplomatic relationships evolve from primitive interactions to late-game alliances and negotiations, influenced by cultivating city-state allegiance and deploying spies to gather intelligence, steal resources, or topple rival governments.
