Resident Evil 6, the sixth mainline entry in Capcom’s action-horror series, blends intense action with survival horror elements. Players navigate four distinct, interwoven story threads, each with its own pair of protagonists for solo or co-op play, both offline and online. The narrative spans North America, the Eastern European state of Edonia, and the Chinese city of Lanshiang. Confront varied C-virus mutations, including zombies, J’avo, and Chrysalids, utilizing an evolved control system that allows shooting while moving, sliding, rolling in any direction, taking cover, and performing enhanced melee attacks.

The game introduces a Crossover mechanic, enabling up to four players to team up online at key narrative moments. An all-new Agent Hunt Mode allows players to assume the role of a C-virus mutation and infiltrate another active game session to eliminate human characters. Customize character abilities through a Character Skill system, allocating points to improve reload speed, firepower, or health. The popular Mercenaries Mode also returns.
