Prototype™

Prototype is an action-adventure game where players control Alex Mercer, a shapeshifter seeking to uncover a conspiracy. Mercer possesses shape-shifting combat abilities, allowing him to transform his body into various offensive and defensive forms, including claws, blades, hammers, and whips. He can also adopt disguises by consuming other individuals, gaining their appearance and memories.

The game features over-the-top locomotion and agility, enabling players to traverse an open-world New York City by running up walls and leaping between buildings. Mercer's adaptive parkour mechanics allow for fluid movement through the urban environment. The narrative centers on Mercer's amnesia and his investigation into his origins and a decades-old conspiracy.
