Mall Empire is an indie casual management simulation where players construct and oversee a modern shopping mall. The core loop involves strategic placement of facilities like shops, restaurants, and rest areas within a tower structure to attract customers. Progression is tied to increasing the mall's star rating from one to five, achieved by adding more retail outlets and satisfying diverse shopper needs.
The simulation includes over 50 distinct stores and more than 20 unique store combinations, catering to over 20 character types each with individual requirements and wealth levels. Players manage finances through advertising, investment opportunities, and loans, supported by detailed financial reports. Mall Empire is built on the Unity 3D engine, with planned releases for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
