KILLER INN is a debut multiplayer social deduction action game that plunges 24 players into a high-stakes murder mystery. Participants assume one of two roles: 'wolves' who must secretly eliminate 'lambs', or 'lambs' tasked with identifying and neutralizing the wolves. Players navigate a castle environment, gathering clues from crime scenes such as hair, fingerprints, and blood, while simultaneously engaging in direct combat to resolve conflicts. The core loop involves a blend of investigation, stealth, and aggressive action, as players use an arsenal of hidden items, including guns, melee weapons, traps, and poisons, to achieve their objectives.
The game emphasizes combat-driven resolution over traditional voting mechanics, with survival depending on a player's combat prowess or strategic cunning. A "Focus Mode" enhances sensory perception, allowing players to detect footprints, bullet casings, glass fragments, and sounds through walls. Communication is facilitated by immersive 3D audio voice chat, which dynamically adjusts based on player location, distance, and environmental acoustics, alongside a range of emotes and stamps. Players select unique characters, each possessing distinct abilities such as silent movement, enhanced sleuthing, or expert thievery, which shape individual strategies. KILLER INN supports solo play, duos, trios, or squads, and offers lambs an alternative victory condition: escape the castle by securing harbor gate keys and raising anchors.
