Kane and Lynch: Dead Men marks the debut entry in a new action shooter franchise from Io-Interactive, creators of the Hitman series. Players navigate the violent and chaotic journey of Kane, a flawed mercenary, and Lynch, a medicated psychopath, in a third-person perspective. Control Kane in single-player mode or assume either character in two-player co-op, engaging in intense shootouts across diverse environments. Rappel from buildings, fire from moving vehicles, launch surprise attacks, and utilize cover fire or blind shots from around corners. Deploy smoke, tear, and incendiary grenades to control engagements.
Io-Interactive's proprietary technology renders highly destructible environments and massive crowd AI, which react when events escalate. Players strategically manipulate these responsive environments and crowds to complete objectives. Combat emphasizes leading a crew of criminal mercenaries, whose AI autonomously draws fire, throws grenades, provides cover, and engages in close combat, or fighting alone. The experience extends to innovative two-player co-operative play through the entire story, allowing players to split crew command, and online multiplayer levels designed for up to eight players.
