FLYING TIGERS: SHADOWS OVER CHINA is an air-combat action game developed by ACE MADDOX that places players in the roles of American volunteer squadrons defending China during World War 2. The game covers rarely depicted air battles across fighter, bomber, and gunner missions, recreating historical events in the China-Burma-India theatre. Players can engage in dogfights, air-strikes, and supply route defense, utilizing tactics like hit-and-run. The game includes a variety of historical missions, such as the Japanese Christmas raids on Rangoon and transport missions over the Himalayas.Mechanics include TrazerTime™ slow-motion firing, arcade and sim-style controls, and dynamic weather effects like monsoons and sunsets. Over 20 Allied and Japanese aircraft are available, with both third-person and cockpit views. Multiplayer supports up to 16 players across five modes, including Team Dogfight, Rocket Battle Vs, and Flagbusters. The game offers a full, stand-alone experience with unrestricted multiplayer.
