About Fallout: New Vegas

Fallout: New Vegas, a standalone action-RPG developed by Obsidian Entertainment, serves as a follow-up to the 2008 Game of the Year, Fallout 3. Players navigate a post-nuclear Mojave Wasteland, making critical choices that directly influence a brewing conflict between rival factions vying for control of the desert oasis. Combat engages players through either the V.A.T.S. system, which pauses time to target specific enemy body parts and queue attacks, or finely-tuned real-time mechanics, augmented by new special melee combat moves.

The game introduces a Companion Wheel for streamlined companion directives and a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of player actions across the vast expanses of the Mojave Wasteland and the neon-drenched Vegas Strip. A Hardcore Mode offers an increased challenge, separating players based on their endurance. Players customize an expanded arsenal, double the size of its predecessor, through a new weapons configuration system that displays modifications in real time. This is a decision-driven action-RPG centered on player agency and consequence within a dynamic post-apocalyptic setting.
