Deadlink is a cyberpunk first-person shooter integrating roguelite mechanics. Players assume the role of an elite operative piloting a humanoid combat shell. The mission involves thwarting corporate schemes across diverse, randomized environments including slums, labs, warehouses, and offices. The core gameplay loop centers on combat, utilizing a broad arsenal, skill and technology upgrades, and destructible environments.

Each run presents unique challenges, demanding constant movement and tactical use of abilities and the environment. Players can customize their combat shell with various weapon loadouts to suit different playstyles, from sniping to aggressive close-quarters combat. Failure results in the loss of a combat shell, but subsequent runs begin with enhanced skills and weaponry, reflecting a persistent progression system.
