The game centers on causing maximum damage across over 100 holes spread throughout four distinct environments: a USA Kitchen, an English Castle, a French Palace, and an Australian Outback. A key mechanic is the "SmashBreaker" mode, which transforms the golf ball into a steerable fireball, enabling greater destruction and higher scores.

The game presents four play modes: World Tour, which includes 10 tours with 10 holes each and unlocks new locations and abilities; Coop World Tour for sequential co-operative play; Party Golf (Offline) for local competitive play with up to four players; and Party Golf (Online) for competitive matches against up to eight players.
