Dagger Froggy is a roguelike action game where players must survive for 10 minutes against waves of increasingly powerful enemies by throwing a dagger and retrieving it. The game features 30 base upgrades that combine for powerful combos and unique specials. Players can unlock new frogs, each with distinct starting bonuses, and different scenarios or maps.
The core loop involves selecting from four random upgrades at the end of each enemy horde to build powerful synergies. Maximizing an upgrade unlocks a unique special ability. Each frog character possesses unique starting benefits, and new scenarios become available upon completing previous maps. In-game currency earned from defeating enemies and completing matches can be used in the store to unlock starting upgrade points.
