Cairn

Cairn is an indie action-adventure simulation game from The Game Bakers. Players control pro climber Aava on her attempt to summit the unconquered Mount Kami. The game simulates realistic climbing mechanics, requiring players to manage hand and foot placement, posture, effort, and balance to avoid falling. Players can choose their own climbing routes, analyzing the rock face and solving problems on the wall. The ascent is framed as a challenging fight, with each wall functioning like a boss encounter, though difficulty can be adjusted. Survival is key, necessitating resource management of items like pitons, chalk, food, water, and medicine. Players can establish bivouacs and explore the mountain for necessary supplies.
