Bleeding Edge is an online brawler developed by Ninja Theory where players control mechanically enhanced fighters. The combat emphasizes technique, timing, and teamwork, with arena environments featuring hazards that can be exploited. Fighters' weapons and abilities are customizable with cybernetic parts earned through gameplay.

The game features a diverse cast of characters, each possessing unique abilities and combat styles. Players can synergize with teammates to overcome opponents, utilizing abilities such as time manipulation, mind control, and projectile riding. Arena hazards, like electric fences and oncoming trains, can be strategically used to incapacitate enemies, while character-specific abilities, such as Maeve's magical cage, create environmental traps. Customizable cybernetic parts allow players to modify their fighters' loadouts and their hoverboards for stylish traversal across the cyberpunk arenas.
