Basketball Pro Management 2015 is a new entry in the basketball management simulation genre, placing players in control of managing and coaching their own basketball team. Players oversee recruitment, set training schedules, manage budgets, and make tactical choices that directly influence game outcomes within leagues and regulations from around the globe. The team's success hinges on these managerial and coaching decisions.
This iteration introduces a complete North American league system, dissociating it from other regulations. Recruitment occurs solely via trades or free agent contracts, with various contract exceptions like minimum, mid-level, and rookie agreements implemented. A fully functional salary cap and luxury tax system demand careful payroll management to avoid penalties. Beyond North America, the game encompasses 43 playable leagues, including six women's leagues and new international competitions such as the Olympics and World Cup, alongside six added national competitions from regions like China, Great Britain, Australia, and Lebanon. The title includes a database of over 13,000 players and 1,600 teams, all customizable through an included editor. Players set training schedules to guide player growth and plan tactics, which can be adjusted in real-time during games viewed through 2D and 3D simulations. An in-game editor also allows for the creation of custom plays, delivering a comprehensive simulation of global basketball management.
