BALAN WONDERWORLD is a debut action platformer from BALAN COMPANY, a studio formed by Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima. Players navigate twelve distinct, labyrinthine stages, each filled with traps and obstacles. Progress relies on acquiring and utilizing over 80 different costumes, which grant unique abilities such as bashing enemies, walking through the air, freezing time, or manipulating objects to overcome environmental challenges.

The extensive costume system forms the core of the gameplay, with each outfit providing specific powers essential for combat and puzzle-solving.
