Anomaly 2 is the sequel to Anomaly Warzone Earth, developed by 11 bit studios. It expands on the tower-offense real-time strategy gameplay of its predecessor, placing players in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity fights for survival against alien machines. The single-player campaign features tactical planning and on-field commander support for troops, with unit morphing into different mech forms granting varied abilities to overcome combat challenges. Player choices in the campaign lead to alternative endings.The game introduces a unique multiplayer mode pitting tower defense against tower offense. Players can assume the role of alien towers attempting to destroy human convoys or command the humans to assault alien defenses. Anomaly 2 allows for over a million tactical squad combinations, enabling extensive customization of battle units. The game utilizes an upgraded visual engine for its post-apocalyptic environments.
