3XTINCTION is a top-down shooter that places up to two players in a cooperative online mode against a spider-driven outbreak. The game incorporates wave-based survival mechanics where players strategically prepare between assaults by purchasing and deploying defenses like turrets and barbed wire. Players can also buy and upgrade over 15 distinct weapons, and customize their characters.
A class system is central to 3XTINCTION, providing five unique roles with distinct skills and equipment to encourage tactical cooperation. Players earn experience to unlock new skills and money to acquire weapons, ammunition, and cosmetic character options. The game features eight mission types across seven locations, with a solo mode also available.
