Age of Empires II: DE - Chronicles: Battle for Greece is a DLC for Age of Empires II. This add-on introduces three new ancient civilizations: Athenians, Spartans, and Achaemenids, accessible in unranked play. It features a 21-scenario campaign spanning over a century of history, from the Ionian Revolt to the Peloponnesian War, incorporating famous battles like Marathon and Thermopylae. The DLC adds 55 new land units, 19 new naval units, and 85 new buildings, with an overhaul to naval combat including six military ship types and new sea-based resource gathering options. It also introduces unique civilization mechanics such as customizable Town Centers and mutually-exclusive technologies.
